These three images are of dry ground on Kangaroo Island. They were photographed about 18 months ago. Merged with them are photographs from the same farm, of chains buried in the ground when the ground was wetter, plus of water-tanks that will never hold water again due to rust-holes. Buy them before they dry out.
Getting into my Groove
One thing I always enjoy doing when I am bored: Designing or redesigning logo's. Because I have good quality programs (now!) and a creative mindset, I like seeing how I would present a logo if it were up to me. Many of them are not publishable because they are businesses that can afford to sue... Continue Reading →
Four Days on Kangaroo Island
Today I have returned from a fun four days on Kangaroo Island. I hadn't planned nor even wanted to go - due to a fairly bad case of the flu. But despite the insistent cough, my wife and I stayed with her parents for four days. The first day was non-eventful as we didn't get... Continue Reading →
Ready to Surf the NEXT Google Wave?
Personally, I don't think Google Wave is going to revolutionise the world. Sure, Microsoft did manage to manipulate and monopolise the market 30-something years ago, but I don't see Google doing that here. With 100,000 invitations criss-crossing the planet, maybe a further 900,000 humans will find a way to either catch a ride or jump... Continue Reading →
20 Reminders to Live, Love and Do More
In 1993 I bought a little book entitled "Just Do It" that includes a heap of inspirational and quotable gems. I still read it in 2009 because, heck, we all need a little inspiration from time to time. I love quotes that both remind me that I am only human, plus those that give me... Continue Reading →
Short Walk in the Forest
Last weekend I went for a walk to the bottom of the valley. I didn't have any agenda, nor any destination, but I did want some exercise and a day to simply freshen up my mind and spirit. Well, I succeeded. I am so glad I live a beautiful part of the world. Here are... Continue Reading →
Design Is…
These are STILL the most popular images upon my Flickr Gallery! This all started in September 2006 when I made half-a-dozen images with IRFANVIEW. Now I make new graphics for the DESIGNIS meme when a little bored. Plus it helps show far my graphic-editing/creation skills have progressed. Views: 400 and growing fast! Views: 357 and... Architectural Advancement
Adelaide is a'changing. The architecture has progressed from sandstone and gargoyles to concrete and glass. Here is the progression of just one building here in Adelaide. Watch how it changed from a large shed that housed the Trams into a large glass box.
Aero-Toys
My father makes model aeroplanes. He made the first flying Snoopy DogHouse back in the mid 1980's. Dad also made a flying Super Man (where one of my brothers was used to get the shape right!) that was basically 2'-thick foam with 3 wheels for landing and a propeller at the pointy end. To fly,...
