I have these printed in 22pt on the cubicle wall at my day-job. I cannot recall where I originally got it from – but it helps survive the days. It’s obviously aimed at a salesman, but can easily be used in anyone’s life.
DARE TO DO IT AGAIN
Always finish your day on a positive. Pick up the telephone again and make one more call on a customer. You should keep going until you have a success.
DARE TO BE TEACHABLE
If you are willing to learn and you take the necessary steps, you will surely be successful. Read 30 minutes every day, listen to better people, and devote quality time to learning something new.
DARE TO BE YOUR BEST
Always give your best in everything you do. Take pride in yourself and your work. Be accountable for your actions, responsible for your failures and successes. Remember to respect yourself and others.
DARE TO BE ENTHUSIASTIC
Repeat these often: "I know this: When I force myself to act enthusiastic, I soon feel enthusiastic" and "I firmly believe enthusiasm is by far the biggest single factor in successful selling.". Smile!
DARE TO SEIZE OPPORTUNITIES
Look for silver linings. Dale Carnegie wrote in ‘Think and Grow Rich’, "Every adversity carries with it the seeds of a greater benefit." Look for opportunity everywhere, particularly where you are right now.
DARE TO PLAN
If you fail to plan – you are planning to fail. Plan each day in advance and review your day at night. Always look for ways to improve.
DARE TO SUCCEED
Dare to be a lion, not a sheep. Dare to be different, go the opposite direction. Have balance, and you will succeed in business, and in your personal life.
