All I Want for Christmas
My Christmas list hasn't changed since last year! But if you keep buying my photography, I can buy myself a Canon 50D. Yeah, that's all I want for Christmas, that and any one of the gazillion Canon lens I have bookmarked. They would compliment the '50D nicely.
Using GIMP to create Beautiful Art
Every so often I take a bunch of photographs with no real plan of where they'll end. Tonight I photographed this little trinket that my wife brought home a few years ago. I suspect it originated from her grandmother's home. I loved the rustic feel of this little eastern man towing his cart around for... Continue Reading →
Five Ways to Make Money from Photography
1. iStock After reading Mike Cherim's article going through the last 12 months upon iStock, I was reminded that I also have an iStock account. So I must thank Mike for invigorating my activity on iStock. But twenty minutes upon the site reminded me why I never did go back after I first registered. The... Continue Reading →

Having Fun Creating Graphic Art Again
Last night I spent a few more hours manipulating pixels to put young Andrew into various amusing scenes. Let me get you up-to-speed on this situation: When Ben Cottle (@Benaud) first presented this photograph of his son, Andrew, (at left of text) on his Plurk time-line, I jokingly suggested that it "looks more like Luke... Figured it might as well be submitted. 1b. Background #2 is still in the moderation queue. I spent a whole hour on it, having... Continue Reading →

Successfully Shooting Zombies in Adelaide
Early in October I had the good fortune to be there when the Adelaide Zombies walked through the CBD. The photographs below show where I found them on East Terrace and the amazing young Zombies who were most willing to be photographed. I enjoyed being able to walk with them down Rundle Street, through Rundle... Continue Reading →
One Full Monday
After a loooong day at work, I settled into the evening not knowing what would come of it. I had a few things planned, but most were undoable (terrible word, yet apt) due to this cold that has grabbed me quite by surprise. So I sat the computer avoiding all that aggravated my headache and... Continue Reading →
