This, so far, has been my favorite video creation on my YouTube channel. I actually planned a timeline showing each of the sections of footage needed to be filmed, plus constructed story boards showing how each would overlay. Doing this helped immensely, and ensured I was able to construct the video in less than two... Continue Reading →
One of My Tripods has Died!
Sometimes I create content which is a little obscure. This short video is about a mini-tripod that has been my favorite vlogging tool for about 2 years. It died earlier this week. Weirdly it was only a few hours after a friend told me about the SMOVE Smartphone Stablizer - which is basically a gimbal.... Continue Reading →
Casey, Your Knees Will Not Stop You!
I feel for Casey Neistat, I actually do. According to his latest video: His left knee creaks when he kneels. Presumably it is more noticeable when he runs. So he is concerned that he may never be able to run again. I gave up running about 2 years ago, at least for long distances, because... Continue Reading →
Calibrating a Canon Lens
Not completely sure, but I think my Canon 70-200 F4 needs calibrating. Thanks to google I discovered I can calibrate the lens myself. I plan to video whilst that is happening, including both before and after shots. I have a bunch of new videos completed, so subscribe and keep watching my YouTube Channel. That's all this time.... Watch out for the Squid!
Our five year old son has Roseola, so I am going to be home for at least a week looking after him. So I have created a video from a walk we had together a few months ago. Enjoy and watch out for the squid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EjezEZUI5DQ FYI: Did you know Jai and I have a... Continue Reading →

Admittedly, some of my attempts are not so perfect, yet I am having so much fun learning new facets of the software I use, plus the limitations... Continue Reading →

Casey Neistat is Right!
Just a few months ago, before my family relocated to Kangaroo Island, I stuffed my my many camera bags with lots of bits and pieces needed for my camera equipment. Today I finally went through it all - and found the multitude of seemingly important yet almost unnecessary cra.. stuff. Yet some of which has... Continue Reading →
GO BEYOND YOUR LIMITS! (10 Years on Youtube)
Out of all the YouTube channels I'm subscribed to, Casey Neistat's channel is the only one that I consistently revisit. My YouTube Channel History For the longest time I did almost nothing on YouTube. I remember saying to someone in 2008 - "It's just a fad, it won't last." How wrong was I! Mostly I...
