In 2016…
Almost 10 years ago I said I’d been blogging online for 10 years — but it was actually longer than that. Way back in 1999, I was just jotting down thoughts and publishing them as separate pages on my Telstra personal page. Those pages don’t exist anymore.
From memory, I then moved to Tripod, then to GeoCities, followed by Blogspot/Blogger (which at the time was easily manipulated, so helped me on my web-design journey into advanced HTML and CSS) and finally WordPress.
Fast forward another 10 years…
It’s now 2026, so I’ve now been using WordPress for a decade. During that time, I’ve published more articles than you see (read further on for the explanation). A handful of articles get regular daily hits, a lot of older posts are of small moments, websites of interest, and information that has helped me become a better and improved person. Alongside Covid and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, plus a major personal upheaval, my blogging style and content has changed dramatically over the past six months.
To the Future…
Regular readers will have noticed by now: I’m now a single man, separated after 27 years of marriage—not by choice. My blog covers this journey, from deep reflections to topics like depression, XXY, su1c1de, anxiety, stress, and related issues—plus the ways I’m coping, moving forward, and finding motivation through my hobbies and daily work.

Here are my most popular articles in December over the last 10 years:
2025. Due to long-day-job commitments, I haven’t published much in a while, and far less than expected this month, particularly now that I live alone. So I had to delay publishing this til the first day of 2026. ( I began compiling on 16 December 2025)
2024. Dealing with FAKE Accounts on Social Media
2023. Make Your Life A Good Story
2021 and 2022: I had published a few articles, but they were deleted in the great purge of June 2025.
2020: 2020, You’re Fired! 2021, Can you Start Tomorrow
2019: Many articles from this year were purged in June 2025 to rid my site of flipptity-jibbits and mumb-jumbo, plus a lot of dead links to my photography that WAS on flickr.com – but I have since (sadly due to inflated flickr annual costs) deleted that photo repository.
2018: My Two Loves: Honey & Photography
2017: Darn, nothing in December again! So here is my popular Youtube video: The Correct Way to Roll the Toilet Paper
2016: 4 Years Later
That list was far less impressive than I imagined it would be. Let’s try that again in another five years!
