After seeing another story somewhere about a person asking ChatGPT what it would do if it were declared President of the United States, I decided to turn the question around and ask it something a little closer to home:
“If you were to become Prime Minister of Australia, what changes would you make?”
I was curious what it would come up with.
Not because I expected an AI to suddenly have all the answers to running a country – although, given the state of politics sometimes, the bar isn’t exactly hovering in the stratosphere. But I was interested in what priorities it would identify, what problems it would tackle first, and perhaps most importantly, what sort of Australia it would try to create if it had the opportunity to start with a relatively clean sheet of paper.
Its answer was… interesting, and definitely worth reading:
