I am guessing nobody noticed…
Yesterday afternoon I had just over 500 subscribers to this blog.
After perusing a mere handful of them, I discovered them to be deceased blogs!
I really shouldn’t have been surprised: A lot of people switched from blogging to vlogging, podcasts, instagram and other more visual types of getting their messages across to people.
Me, I tried my hand at vlogs. I still produce vidoes occasionally, but I decided earlier this year that I really don’t have the face for it. I have the gear, the green-screen, the space, and the will … but not always the want. I must have done enough to impressive my 11yo son – He wants to be a YouTuber when he is old enough!
I have always wanted to try podcasting. In fact, I am all setup for it. But my emotion-chip got broken mid 2025, so I am still fumbling around trying to find a new idea and mindset to attempt recording myself.
Sigh. After going through a bunch more of the subscribers to stephentrepreneur.com … I started deleting all the dead-links, those without profile pics, and obvious-trolls with random-email-accounts.
Within an hour, I found myself with less than half of my original supposed-readership – 239 – that is a lot to lose!
But I am OK with it. As far as I can tell, the remaining are real. I plan to go through more. I suspect I may have lost some original subscribers from twenty years ago.
