Recently, whilst shifting into ‘solo accommodation’, a realisation struck: I don’t own a single side lamp. Not for my desk, not for the lounge. So, naturally, I fell into the rabbit-hole of a late-night Google search – and here are the results, displaying quite a few floor and table lamps that peaked my interest!

This a no-nonsense clamp lamp with a bendy goose-neck that can twist and tilt to just about any angle. Being able to clip it straight onto my bedhead is a definite practical element that suits my new life.
Louie LED Dimmable Floor Lamp

The Louie is one of those lamps that looks like it belongs in a design magazine – slim, sleek, and quietly stylish. The real party trick here is the 340-degree rotatable head – because I like being able to splash light up or across the wall – not directly into my face!

Designed to project light onto objects like artwork, plants, or even that random sculpture I picked up at the markets. In doing so, it’s more than just a desk lamp.
SKAFTET – Arched Black Floor Lamp Base (IKEA)

This is ideal for me as I want to create my own lampshade using hessian bags that previously held my favourite coffee. I have the bags already in storage, so now all I need is the wire-component of the lampshades – and this will look fantastic!

This will look great attached to the SKAFTET Floor Lamp Base – with my coffee hessian bags hand-stitched into some of those triangles!
Chipper 10W LED Floor Lamp

The first of a style of lamps I hadn’t considered – LED globes. Now that I have a taste for them, I can see how they suit my style better – because they can be twisted and twirled within artistic lamp bases.

I may consider buying three of these – orange for my bedroom, black for my office, white for the lounge.
Derby Black Ash Wood Contemporary LED Floor Lamp

As I like mid-century furniture, specifically the use of wood, I like the style of this piece. It would look great with my preferred lounge and matching furniture.
Samson LED Dimmable Mother & Child Floor Lamp Black / Quad

This up-light has a sense of style suitable for a vloggers studio. The upward-facing light will light up the whole room, whilst the child-lamp helps enhance a desk or lounge. I can see this in my office used to light-up my upcoming youtube videos!

Without a doubt, this light is downright eclectic, yet I love it. I know, I know, I have insufficient space for it, yet if I had the funds and space, I would definitely purchase this beautiful art piece of a light.
Standing in the lounge to help enhance the mood of the room – this piece depicts the silhouette of a woman, adding a gorgeous glow to any home whilst also being a truly spectacular lighting feature.
There you have it. Yet I’m guessing that now that I have shared this with you – many of them will be sold out very soon. Good thing I enjoy online research….
