How I use Artificial Intelligence ‘AI’ in my Life

Ever since I discovered how useful AI can be, it’s become my secret weapon at work. You know, like a sidekick that’s always got my back—but way less annoying than Robin.

First up, I’ve turned AI into my brainstorming buddy. When I’m stuck on blog post ideas, or trying to figure out the next radio show topic, I let AI throw the most random stuff at me. It’s kind of like having an over-caffeinated intern who tosses ideas around like confetti—some of them land in the right place, others are just… out there. But that’s the fun of it! Half the time, the most bizarre idea turns into gold after a little tweaking. AI is like my creative muse, but one that doesn’t demand coffee breaks.

Then there’s research. Oh, research. I used to spend hours wading through articles and websites to prep for interviews or write something vaguely intelligent. Now, I’ve outsourced that to my AI assistant, who does all the heavy lifting while I sit back and pretend I’m a genius. It’s great. When someone asks me about a deep topic on air, I can confidently throw in some facts and sound like I spent all night reading instead of binge-watching Netflix.

Time management? Let’s just say I need help. I’ve programmed AI to nag me about deadlines, breaks, and to stop scrolling through social media. It’s like having a super polite personal trainer who’s always reminding me I’ve got stuff to do. Except instead of push-ups, it’s “Hey, maybe finish that blog post today?” Not as sweaty, but still effective.

And let’s not forget writing. Editing? No, thanks. I let AI handle the grammar while I focus on being witty and (hopefully) charming. It’s a lifesaver when I’m typing out scripts for my radio show or drafting an article for my blog. I just throw it at the AI and it cleans up the mess, like a digital janitor for my brain.

Emails are another story. If someone asks me the same question for the umpteenth time, I no longer sigh dramatically and reluctantly type out the response. Nope, AI’s got it covered. It whips up a polite (maybe slightly cheeky) email reply so I can stay focused on more important things. Like finding the perfect playlist for the next show.

Speaking of playlists, AI helps there too! When I’m too tired to think of the right songs, I just let it suggest a few. It’s fun to mix human intuition with machine-generated vibes. Sometimes the suggestions are spot-on, and other times… well, let’s just say the machine has unique tastes. But hey, even weird songs can spark interesting conversations on air!

My website for the window cleaning biz? AI is on that too. Need a quick HTML tweak? AI’s there, doing all the little changes while I avoid the rabbit hole of endless web development. It’s saved me from many hours of frustration, letting me focus on things I actually enjoy.

Social media is another beast. AI steps in there, writing my captions with the right balance of fun and promotion. It’s like having a content writer in my back pocket, ensuring I always sound engaging—even when I’m low on coffee and higher on sarcasm.

Honestly, AI’s become my personal assistant, creative partner, and a bit of a lifesaver. It’s like having a tech-savvy sidekick, but without the cape or the attitude. I could get used to this.

If you read this far, let me tell you the truth:

I only use AI to assist with blog writing, not do all my work. I enjoy writing and prefer to do it myself. Yes, it helps me compile radio playlists, but I still choose which suggestions are good enough or available. My day job doesn’t need AI, yet I have used it to make my website more inviting and readable. I certainly do not use it to write social media – that would take the witty, sarcastic and of-the-moment life out of my responses. But yes, AI is a a great personal assistant and creative partner. Other than this paragraph, AI wrote the rest based on the information I fed into it.
