I have been blogging, on and off, since about 2000! I have been using WordPress since October 2006. Prior to that was Blogger/Blogspot. Prior to that: Geocities, Tripod … yeah, all the free services.
But 2013 has been busy for me, spending most of my spare time being a doting father to our gorgeous son. So my posts have been sporadic and less often. I have written a lot of stuff, but by the time I found an opportunity to type it up, the moment was gone, the information was old news, and I may have stopped caring.
But in the back of my mind, I have never forgotten about blogging. So I am getting back into writing stuff again.
Mostly because I want to change course from other online activity: Facebook. Yeah, I get a lot out of it the friendships with online friends, many of whom have become real-world-friends. Plus my FB business page makes me a bit of spare change per month for coffees!
But mostly I really want to start writing about the things I enjoy: Photography, Graphic Art, Self-Motivation, Computing – and a lot of abstract yet interesting subjects to me. The proof is in this post that was meant to merely a mention about my site-statistics as shown in the image at the top of this post!
Anyhow, I will post more often.
Or at least you will think I am. Scheduling – the best feature any blogging service can provide. Write at least 7 posts in advance, on the weekend, then schedule them for each coming day. Like this one. It was written within moments of this one, then scheduled for release tomorrow. Um. Today. Sunday. And since then I have written a further 6 articles! All of which you will see each day.
Blogging. Not just for the sake of it.
Daddy says leaving comments on his blog is so easy! So long as we don’t mention any sites or hace hidden URLs in the msg, they will appear. And I am sure he doesn’t want me to have to entice others evwry time.
