Another Twenty Years Later
Wow, it has been 14 years since I published this article! Back then I considered myself savvy in the computer arts. But now I stay quiet about it because the world has changed dramatically since then and I am not as involved. (Happier being a photographer, window-washer, gardener and father!) Yet I am bemused by my ramblings from way back then…

Technology has improved vastly over the past forty years.
It’s reached the point where when you buy a computer today – it’s probably obsolete tomorrow. Before you walk out the door there is a newer version on the market, an upgrade and update to your security system, and in some cases the vendor no longer supports the operating system.
